So it turns out we actually are what we eat

So it turns out we actually are what we eat

Healthy eating is everything. It is what keeps us healthy and happy. Eating affects mental and emotional health as well as how we look and feel. Eat real food to stay healthy and happy.

The itch that scratches

The itch that scratches

Have you ever felt that you are so itchy you could scrape your skin until it bled? Well that is what most people with exzema feel Iike. The winter months are especially grueling for people who suffer with dry skin. These are a few of my tips for surviving winter with dry skin.

New Year resolutions, memories & loving oneself.

New Year resolutions, memories & loving oneself.

In my twenties I fell in love, I had my heart broken and I fell in love again. I was enjoying being free and careless, buying outfits for a Friday night, having cigarettes outside the gym with my best friend and eating late night falafels and French fries after drinking and taking shots all night. Sleeping in until 1:30pm and eating my first meal at 4pm....My 20's were crazy 😜 to say the least. I also experienced my first health scare and thankfully everything turned out well. And then I had my first child, a life changing experience....

Thirty something has me thinking

Thirty something has me thinking

I miss the days when I smoke just because, ate because I was hungry, slept because I was tired...the days that I was carefree, responsible for only me and my pug Kosmo. I miss....the days in bed....cocktails and late nights dancing and passing out.

Guilt and Regret

Guilt and Regret

I believe that guilt and regret are some of the most useless emotions that are felt by human beings. We feel guilty for disappointing our parents, guilty for taking time for ourselves, guilty because we ate that extra bit of chocolate or in some cases the entire chocolate bar. Have you ever stopped to think what your life would be like had you no guilt at all? Some may say that would require zero conscious living. But would it really?

Flowers are fun for everyone

Have you ever notice how the energy in your home changes when you have fresh flowers in the kitchen or the living room? How seeing them when you wake up in the morning or come home from a rough day makes you smile? Maybe its just me, but flowers make me smile and calm me down. Recent studies show that flowers actually have the ability through their appearance and scent to make not only our face smile, but our minds and bodies too. The presence of flowers can reduce blood pressure, increase mood, and for some even open appetite. So next time you are grocery shopping pick a bunch for you and your home and see how you feel.
